How fast the disc must be thrown to fly as intended. Scale of 1–14. A speed 8.0 disc is forgiving and works well at moderate arm speeds.

How long the disc stays in the air. Scale of 1–7. Higher glide means more distance potential, but less control in wind.

High-speed tendency to veer right (for right-hand backhand). Scale of +1 to −5. Negative values mean the disc turns right at speed.

Low-speed finish to the left (for right-hand backhand). Scale of 0–5. Lower fade means a gentler, more predictable finish.

Discmania on the Essence

The Essence is the do-it-all fairway driver in the Evolution line up.  Given the understable nature of the Essence, this disc is best suited for players looking for their first distance driver, backhand or smooth forehand throws, tailwinds, and excellent roller shots. The rounded semi-blunt nose of the disc allows for fantastic roller shots and controlled backhand or forehand throws when you need it most.

Show every weight. Use this to reset the weight filter. Lighter discs are easier to throw far with less arm speed. Great for younger players or windy conditions. Mid-range weights suit most players. A good balance of control and distance for average arm speeds. Heavier discs are more wind-resistant and hold their line better at high arm speeds. Preferred by experienced players.
