Speed
How fast the disc must be thrown to fly as intended. Scale of 1–14. A speed 4.0 disc is forgiving and works well at moderate arm speeds.

How long the disc stays in the air. Scale of 1–7. Higher glide means more distance potential, but less control in wind.

High-speed tendency to veer right (for right-hand backhand). Scale of +1 to −5. Negative values mean the disc turns right at speed.

Low-speed finish to the left (for right-hand backhand). Scale of 0–5. Lower fade means a gentler, more predictable finish.

Prodigy Disc on the A5

The Prodigy A5 is a slightly overstable approach disc that will work in to be a straight flyer. It has a nice, smooth feel with a shallow profile and flat top, which makes it ideal for sidearm approaches. It can handle torque well and has a mild finish on the end, so it won't skip too far from where it lands.

Show every plastic type. Use this to reset the plastic filter. Prodigy's entry-level plastic — versatile and easy to work in, with a feel similar to 300 but less tacky. Great for beginners and experienced players alike. Prodigy's baseline plastic — optimum feel and grip for putters, approach discs, and midranges. Durable enough to hold its shape, while breaking in naturally over time. A stiffer version of 300 (formerly 350G) — tacky feel with increased firmness, developed with world champions for a clean release and consistent break-in over time. A softer, more flexible version of 300 — grippy and forgiving, with added impact absorption that's ideal for approach shots and putts. Prodigy's most popular plastic — premium durability, impeccable grip even in wet conditions, and a stiff rim with a satisfying pop. Often translucent with vivid colors in sunlight.
Weight
Show every weight. Use this to reset the weight filter. Lighter discs are easier to throw far with less arm speed. Great for younger players or windy conditions. Mid-range weights suit most players. A good balance of control and distance for average arm speeds. Heavier discs are more wind-resistant and hold their line better at high arm speeds. Preferred by experienced players.
