FX-4

Flight Numbers
9
Speed
How fast the disc must be thrown to fly as intended. Scale of 1–14. A speed 9.0 disc is forgiving and works well at moderate arm speeds.
5
Glide
How long the disc stays in the air. Scale of 1–7. Higher glide means more distance potential, but less control in wind.
-2
Turn
High-speed tendency to veer right (for right-hand backhand). Scale of +1 to −5. Negative values mean the disc turns right at speed.
2
Fade
Low-speed finish to the left (for right-hand backhand). Scale of 0–5. Lower fade means a gentler, more predictable finish.

Prodigy Disc on the FX-4

The FX-4 is a fast, stable to slightly understable fairway driver. With a wider rim than our F Series, it carries more speed and pushes further down the fairway. In flight, it will have neutral to slightly understable characteristics depending on your arm speed. Power players will see some movement to the right (right handed backhand), while lower arm speeds will get a straight ride with a mild finish.

Plastic
Show every plastic type. Use this to reset the plastic filter. Prodigy's entry-level plastic — versatile and easy to work in, with a feel similar to 300 but less tacky. Great for beginners and experienced players alike. Prodigy's most popular plastic — premium durability, impeccable grip even in wet conditions, and a stiff rim with a satisfying pop. Often translucent with vivid colors in sunlight. A premium plastic with a stiffer, less gummy feel than 400 — confident grip on the flight plate, a solid rim, and a distinctive pearlescent finish unlike anything else in the Prodigy lineup. Prodigy's 100% recycled plastic — made from reground discs that didn't meet production standards. A combination of 400, 500, 750, Special Blend, and ProFlex, with a feel similar to 500 plastic. Each disc has a distinctive appearance as a result of the eco-conscious process.
Weight
Show every weight. Use this to reset the weight filter. Lighter discs are easier to throw far with less arm speed. Great for younger players or windy conditions. Mid-range weights suit most players. A good balance of control and distance for average arm speeds. Heavier discs are more wind-resistant and hold their line better at high arm speeds. Preferred by experienced players.
